The Grand Canyon

We drove up through Flagstaff on our way to the Grand Canyon. When we finally decided to move to Arizona, we'd tell people such and at least 75% of the time, they'd reply, "Oh, are you moving to Flagstaff? Flagstaff is really nice!" We'd have to say no, that we weren't moving to Flagstaff, nice as it is, but we were moving to Tucson. They'd do their best to smile and nod, but I could tell they were thinking that Tucson was a hole, especially compared to Flagstaff. And, after visiting Flagstaff, I can say that yes, it's very nice.

The Grand Canyon is really big. I mean, it's like how people tell you that having kids is hard and you think, 'yeah, I get it, it's hard,' and then you have kids and you find out that wow, it's really hard.

As we were looking at it, I kept thinking, 'wow, it's big.' It looks like a movie set, like you could reach your hand out and touch canvas.

Tyler kept taking my babies close to the edge. I told him that if he dropped one of them in, I would throw him down after them, make him get my baby back, and then kill him once he got to the top. Notice how Lillian is clinging to Tyler for dear life.

Tyler and Lillian are out on that outcropping.

This is right by the Vermilion Cliffs. I like the colors in this picture, even if both Tyler and Nora are making sour faces.

I guess it's pretty.
