A first for Us and Things

I love these shoes.

I wore them everywhere: to work, to school, playdates. They are so comfortable.

Then, I had baby #2. For some reason, even after the baby and I have gone our separate ways, my feet are 1/2 size bigger than they used to be. These lovely Anne Kline heels are a size 7, and sadly, too small for me now, by slightly more than a tad. (If I was really honest with myself, I could admit that they were a smidge too small to begin with. If I was honest.) I've tried to power through. But, a few weeks ago, Tyler and went to see a show at the U of A, and on the way back to the car, I chose to walk a quarter mile barefoot rather than wear these shoes. I can't fool myself anymore.

So, I want to give them away. I thought of donating them to DI, but I just can't do it, I'm not sure why. So, if you wear a size 7, and want these shoes, leave me a comment and I'll send them to you, just like that. If there's more than one of you, I'll pick from a hat. Goodbye shoes.

I too have gone from a 6 to a 7, and I'm somewhere inbetween now. Having kids is hard on your shoe size. If no one who is a true 7 wants them, I'll try.

Wait, WHAT?!

After I get pregnant, my shoe size might change?! I had no idea! This is perhaps the worst news all day.

I shouldn't have checked your blog.

Sigh.

Oh, of course, this would be a great post if I weren't a size nine.

Do you think it's possible that my feet might shrink, and then I'll be able to fit into a seven?

It's the relaxin. It effects all the joints in your feet too. Don't believe me, you can look it up.

They are cute shoes, but we all know I haven't been that size since Jr. High.

A size seven, you mock me. In the fourth grade, I went straight from a four to an eight, and I've never looked back. My dad called them waterskis.

I'm a 6, otherwise I would be jumping at this chance. Are they black? Are they a small 7, maybe? Perhaps I, too, can lie to myself that they fit, just as you did.
