Grandma Marti's Visit

The pediatrician told us that she should be having tummy time every day when she's awake. This was our first attempt. As you can see, it went pretty smoothly.

She hated it.

Her umbilical cord came off, and so Grandma got to give her her first bath at home. Lillian really wasn't quite sure what to think of the whole affair.

The post feeding stupor... which she doesn't do very often anymore. She always wants more. The lactation specialist says that because I "have enough milk to feed four babies," I'm never empty and I guess the fat part comes at the end. So all Lillian is getting is quickly digested carbs. She (the lactation specialist) suggested that I do one sided feedings. That is, instead of offering both sides every feeding, just offer one over and over again. We'll see how that goes. Posted by Picasa

I have always only nursed on one side and it works quite well. I, too, have a profusion of milk. It's a good thing. Really. And make sure you're drinking plenty of water. It keeps the mastitis away. Call me if you ever get a plugged duct. Most of the time you can ease it out before it becomes the dreaded M. We love you guys!
