Friday
Lillian loves the idea of a sippy cup. She gets excited when she sees it, and desperately wants to hold it. But when she puts it in her mouth and water comes out, it's the worst thing in the world. Then, she sees the cast-aside cup, and gets excited all over again. It keeps her interested for 10 minutes or so.
Tyler won't stop playing with the Wegits. I step on them all over the house. I think this is supposed to be a cat.

Lillian's head
Enough about Lillian's head. Worrying will only give you an ulcer. We have an appointment on January 4th, so we can't do anything until then. Just keep her in your prayers. Yes, it might be a big deal. Yes, it might not mean anything at all. Until then, she's a developmentally normal cute cabbage-patch girl who can roll over, smile, laugh, and babble. She's ok.

No one warned me
I've seen people cut up jalapenos on TV before. Just slice open, scoop out the seeds, and chop up right? Wrong. About 5 minutes after I performed the afore mentioned steps, the back of my finger was burning like I had touched the stove with it. I ran it under cold water for a bit, then went back to cooking. After it persisted in burning, I stuck it in my mouth and it was really spicy. Pretty soon, the back of my neck started burning, then all of my hands, then my cheeks, and eyes. I consulted the internet, my mom, and Tyler's mom on how to treat pepper burns. Somewhere after the milk, vinegar, and baking soda (see pictures) my face stopped burning. However, my hands continued to burn even after the Desitin and Anbesol. They burned for two days.

Pea-sized head
This series of pictures showcases two things. First, the super cute bow that Tonya got for Lillian. And second, according to the chart at the doctor's office, Lillian is normal height, a little heavy for weight, and has a teeny-tiny head. She's in the 38th or so percentile. The problem is actually that she was born with a normal sized head, and it isn't growing properly. So the doctor, in his this-probably-isn't-a-problem-but-could-be-a-really-very-large-problem voice told me not to worry and that we'd have to come back in a few weeks to recheck and possibly have x-rays taken.
I told Mom and her words were, "well, she certainly didn't get the Calder head." Remember when Allison got the sweater? Hehe.

AT&T
Tyler just waited on hold for 15 minutes to talk to someone at AT&T customer service only to have Steve answer, say that the building was on fire, and hang up. Dang it.

Solvang Adventures
Tyler's lab partner, Brian, happens to be a guy in our ward. Brian, Stephanie (Brian's wife), Tyler and myself were all in the singles ward together. Brian and Tyler are in the middle of "No-Shave November" as in they are so busy, they don't even have time to shave. So Stephanie and I decided to take a day trip to Santa Barbara while Brian and Tyler worked on their projects. Which turned into a trip just to Solvang because I ended up getting a migraine right after lunch. After I threw up twice in the bushes, we decided to just come home.
But, not before we took this picture. I have two other pictures of myself in front of this very wood thing. One when I was probably 8 or 9, the other when I was maybe 13. If I had a scanner, I would scan them to show you, but you'll just have to take my word for it. I'm not sure what there is to do in Solvang when you are 8, 9, or 13, but we went, and I remember having fun. Too bad it wasn't that fun this time. Sorry Stephanie.

Millions of Peaches
I bought a lug (25 lbs) of peaches from the Avila Valley Barn and Darlene and I canned them last Monday. I haven't opened any jars yet, so I really don't know how they taste, but they look pretty. No offence to Darlene, but it was sort of the blind leading the blind throughout this project. I had gotten instructions from Mom, but we still were a little shady on a few points. I'll let you know.

Tonya's visit
Courtney had a gymnastics meet here (they live in Frenso), so they came to stay for the weekend. Rob and her two older boys stayed home.
So, the whole weekend they were here, Aiden and Maddy, the two younger ones (aside from Lillian) were fighting over Lillian's little chair. (The one that she was sitting in in her moose pictures.) Then, after Aiden ate something sticky or messy, cheetos maybe, Tyler gave him a wet paper towel to clean his hands. Enter his new favorite toy. He wanted to wipe it on his face and on his hands and he cried when Tyler threw it away, so he had to get him a fresh one.
She hates taking baths.
Tonya gave us her new crib because, as Maddy told me numerous times, Aiden is now big enough to sleep in a big-boy bed.
I like Tyler's hair.
